Office administration professionals are responsible for daily operations, bookkeeping and record keeping of the fiscal and production aspects of ranch, feedlot or auction market operations. They are responsible for maintaining and updating health and nutrition records and processing sales and expenses.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work and coordinate with others, work in a team-oriented environment and pay close attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, or other related data-entry and bookkeeping programs
- Knowledge or background in accounting and bookkeeping
- Knowledge in all aspects of feedlot operations
Education and Training:
​High school diploma required for administration positions, diploma or degree in office administration an asset. A college diploma/ degree in accounting and bookkeeping are required for accounting positions. In the case of larger more complicated auction markets or feedlot operations a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation may be required.
